I'm pulling my motor to put a new rear output shaft and want to know a little about putting in a cam and port and polishing the head. I want to stay away from bbk but if i can put anything else in let me know.
Ok its a foreman 450 with out any motor mods got the usual clutch kit, jet kit, filter, and exhaust, but i'm breaking it all down so i figure might as well put a few goodies in. how much is a crank i forgot about that and where is the best place to go about getting these parts?
i agree with red.. keep the cylinder walls thick as possible a high compression piston makes more heat and i usually prefer stock because of that. also if you ever get that wiseco wet itll stick the rings and lose compression and that sucks.
definate on the crank its easy power.
i chose a (web) cam for the increased throttle response from idle, its more pepy. it should be some bad a$$ machine shop around baton rouge to do your head.
and i noticed you didnt say anything about a gear redution they sell them on ebay for about 200 shipped. they are also well worth the money.
and buy a complete seal kit even if they arent leaking now
thanks i'm for sure putting a gear reduction in sorry i didn't mention it but that one wasn't a question. thanks for the help i should start tearing it down in a few weeks and start ordering some parts.
