i think im going to run a brute diff and a bayou 400 front i know its going to be a mutt but im a custom build type person.
as far as the drive line the 300 engine is mounted ridgid so it wont move and there should be no need to use a slip shaft.
i think that a flange built to bolt on the output shaft and the diff will work best
it would eliminate any wobble in the cv cups all one would need is an outer and an inner the weld another flange to each and have it counter sunk into each other to eliminate any excessive runout
the inner would flex enough to make it adjustable and i think that would combat any chance for vibration.
The only thing I thought about doing different, was use outer joints for both ends. If the drive length was exact, then when you slid the diff in and mounted it, it would be that much more rigid. My .02
got the brute diff today ill have to twist the diff to make it work it has the same rotation as the 300 so i cant flip this one either my drive shalt will have 10 degress at each ujoint or cv on the drive shaft. i think i can make it work though

any thing but a 300 its too unsymetrical i think i could do it but i believe that i would waste too much pipe getting it right because the left side has to bend up at 90* then over and back to the left in the next bend and then back right.
what im thinking of doing is bend me a 90* and cut it into the bottom then smooth the weld out with a blending disc. yeah i know its cheating
a new shock mount im thinking of running on the 300 i figure the rancher has enough power to find the weak links and the mounts on it are ugly so ill use it as the test dummy ill get some better pics tomarrow Caleb

the way i had it was rigid stiff from what i can tell this would limit the amount of travel in the rear@3" which is enough for a good ride and isnt as stiff as the old mount. im worried about the torq applied to the upper a-arm but i can brace that
it looks similar to an artic cat other than upper mount
