i have built a body lift on my green 300 and my gf wanting a lift for her bike. this is my first a arm lift that i have built. i am using 660 rhino axles with the 450 inner cup, the knuckles are off a 2001 big bear. it will give the bike about 5 inchs of life. i have the left side all done but the tie rods and bracing. the ride side a arms are built but not the shock towers. i am making all boilt on so if she done like it i can take it off and put it on my bike. im going to do sra for now and if she likes the lift come back and do irs at a latter date. let me know what yall think and any pointers will help.
is that stock rhino axles? It looks good so far.. Finish the front, then do the back, that way you can keep it square front and back on both sides. A tape measure from front axle center to rear axle center.
thanks. that was my planes. finsh front and start on back so i can figure out of much length i will need to add and i can keep it straigt. thet are stock rhino acxles other then the inner cup. i used the rhino inner balls and just pu the 450 cup on it. it dont try to bind and its tight so we going to see what happens.
ya. thats why i went this way. lol i dont see paying 800-1000 on axles for a 1500$ bike. so i did this and also gettind disk brakes out of it. so thats saved a nother 250. at the end ill have around 250 in axles and with my dad owning a salvge yard i got the knuckles for free.
thanks. i have had it in the back of my head for a few months and just now had the time to do it. i got all the front end done but the tierods yesterday and got the rear end pulled out to see how fare i need to strech. i think im going to go wtih +6 so it wont be to long but the ujoint wont be in that bad of a bind.
they are th front right but i think ether front will work. its going to be all boit on when im done with it. the shock mounts go to factory shock mounts and i just ran the brace down to the arm boilt. its going on my girls bike so if she dont like it i wanted to be able to take it off easy.
i didnt want to start a new topic for one pic. i just finshed building this bike for a buddy of mine. is a 400 with a 475 bbk p&p cam 4-2-4 had a locker( for sale now) 35% gr 2.5 inch body lift and 32s. we made a test run about 3 weeks ago at the atv park around here and it did good. he sunk the brand new motor the 2nd day. lol
