Upgrading an old American Standard? Need toilet repair services in Toronto

Good afternoon everyone. We have an older American Standard model in our guest bathroom that just won't stop running. We tried replacing the flapper ourselves, but the internal valve seems totally shot. A friend of mine had the exact same issue and highly recommended the toilet repair services in Toronto on the site https://pomplumbing.ca/toilet-repair-services/. They said the technicians were super familiar with older brands and got it fixed the same day. I’m booking them for tomorrow, but out of curiosity, has anyone else had similar issues with older American Standard tanks?
