Guys, Mine is a stock 98 300! I've got a lot of dreams for it!! But I wanted to let yall know that I'm really impressed with all of your "know How" on these projects. I'm taking notes, want to put mine in the air someday soon!!!!!! keep up the good work
the paint is done the axles and diff are installed my new plastic will be here wednesday with my starter sprag i should have it together thirstday ill order my wheels tomarrow and get the tires this friday
i really didnt expect the amount of power that the stroker crank makes man that thing is stout i got it running tonight and rode it around the yard. ima get my tires put on in the morning. ill have some pics tomarrow evening. i might take it to jolly rodgers this weekend and give her a test runn.
i think im going to add a vien like the tierods at the bent spot on the upper shock mounts. but its 1/8 thick square tubing and i think it would be strong enough the vien will look better
ill have pics up tom my camera died this evening.
DUDE you will love the power. i will never build one without the stroker crank again. i modified the intake off a 300ex to mount the 300ex carb for more response.
i can stand the bike up sitting on the seat in 2nd with the 29.5s 3rd if i fall back on the seat. its like a sport bike but bigger lol
the first test run i shattered the "spider" gears in the rear but she pulled like a mufuffer in front i have spent the last 8 hours (look at the time of this post) building up another set of spider gears and i will retest tomarrow cuz she wants some caned ham and brite force a**
Pond or red99 any suggeations on the spiders?
honda 500rr i am running gorrilla axles because i already had them but turner is the way to go
I've never had spider gear problems. I really don't know what to tell you other then you don't want any of this Brute. haha That thing looks tough from the front
Are you running a spoil locker in the rear or did you weld them up? If you are running the HL spoil locker (which is just a washer) , did you alternate the cam followers? These diffs tend to have a little slack after the washer install, so you could shim the slack up and make it more reliable.
it did have a washer but i took all that out and built up the outside of the spiders then welded them in the carrier then i built the outside of the carrier up
i wish i knew someone that could build a solid spool that replaced the carrier and bolted to the ring
