Its time for some rings! lol Well gave my little ol rancher hell this weekend... Didnt make it to mud nats so i went and rode saturday with some friends at river run. Anyways long story short i rolled my **** over before we headed home and i got it back running after draining everything but i still had a little water in the oil and i guess it fried the ring. It smokes like crazy...
But all that aside i was just curious what all i could do to the motor. I figured why i had it down i would go ahead and give it some more go power. Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Looking at maybe a big bore kit and all the little goodies... Or what would you prefer?

the bbk sleeve on a rancher is to thin and will egg and smoke also the only way to rebuild a bbk is to replace the sleeve and piston which is expensive sometimes after every ride.
if you decide to do it youll have to grind out the cases so the sleeve doesnt bind when it slips into the cases. if you dont do that and force the sleeve into the cases, itll pinch the piston against the sleeve and ruin the sleeve and piston. (as soon as you start it youll hear it knocking)
personally i would only go a 1st over bore with a stock piston unless someone make a higher compression piston now i know wiesco makes a piston now but i dnt know if it is high compression
definatly get head and intake ported
i had good luck out of the combo i described earlier also keep that K&N clean and oiled if its dirty youll lose power and the engine
so what about the kit they have for .20 over bore on highlifter? comes with JE HIGH COMPRESSION PISTON, TOTAL SEAL RING SET, HEAD & BASE GASKET KIT, WRIST PIN, & CIR-CLIPS
then i could just get the head work done and a cam...

yeah man im about an hour from shreveport... So that cam will work in my motor? Also with the piston on all this my rancher should pull my 27's like nothing?(kinda what im looking for.)

about how much does it usually run. I shoul dbe ready in a few weeks... going to go ahead and order the .20 over bore kit and get it here and when i tear it down ill send it over there. Where are they located?

robert,,,does this sound familiar lol... i blow my top end everytime i go to rabbit creek and blew it at river run...
Got the head and everything off my bike, and found some interesting things. One is that i found out why my fourwheeler was making a ticking noise... there was a damn bolt in the pushrod hole?!? so now ive got to get new push rods along with everything else. lol
Also here is my big quesiton... what am im going to be getting into when i slpit the case to put in my cam?? And one other thing, what size jet will i be looking at to make this thing run right with all the mew mods? I got a jet kit off a buddies for 20 bucks(has everything in it) but i dont know if ill have a big enough jet for my set up?

you wont split the cases unless you need a crank all you will haveeto do is remove the flywheel cover and flywheel i have a puller if you want run to my house tomarrrow and ill get the flywheel off i also have an extra set of pushrods and i think the jet kit will work
well hell thats some good news lol i thought i was going to have to split it. I hope to order my freaking piston kit this week. I may holla at ya though once i get everything here. What kinda puller is it... i may have one, if not hit me up with ur number and maybe we can meet up one weekend when my **** gets in...
