the shop looks like a tornado hit it but i painted everything last night so i'm putting it all back together today so i should have some pics up tomorrow of it all together.
Yeap its all together but the honda shop left out a gasket that i needed so i didn't get to to put the motor back in so i didn't want to post any pics of it on bare frame. Have you heard anything from extreme brakes yet.
Yea i got it done they didn't send me the gasket on the back of the motor so i'm waiting on that. I got the gear reduction in and new shaft so i'm just waiting on that.
nope it all went smooth. I have the lift panted and bolted up so i'm just waiting on the gasket and some axles which could be a while turner doesn't give those things away.
So i finally got a little time off of work and i'm trying to get the bugs worked out of this thing. I should have it done in a week or so if i don't have to go back to work. I have the motor and everything back in it now i'm just working through some small stuff.
looking good I hope to have all of my stuff for my bike soon

thanks guys this was my first project this extensive. I've have learned alot about building one off parts and realizing that you have to do it a couple times to get things right. I'm ready to be done with it thats for sure. The next one will be alot easier though.
yea man i know how you feel mines been giving me hell w/ squaring up things and getting everything right this is my first time building something like this but not the last kinda learned a few techniques to make next time a lil easier but gotta finish this first i wanted to put some pics up but cant figure out how yall are doing it
youll see a pic of a tree on the right side of the screen click on it then go to photo buket and copy the ulr of the pic you want and paste it into the box that appears
or click on attach image beside the submit post button this way doesnt use photobucket.
so i finally caught a break from work and got the thing done. I got to go riding for a couple of hours and didn't have any problems. I do have a small problem with the rear tires pointing in when you get on it but there fine with out a load so i think i'm just going to put some spring spacers and hope for the best. Other than it'll eat like a fat woman at churchs.
about 6 months but i was working 7 12's for about 3 months of that time. I could do it in a couple of weeks if i didn't have to work though unfortunately parts aren't free so i got to go make a dollar.
What did you use for your ball joints on the upper a-arms? reason im asking is that I'm building a 12 inch lift for my foreman 400. I made the lower left a-arm yesterday. but im not sure what to do with the upper arms since they have the ball joints. I thought about cutting the factory arms right at the balljoints and using them. but I would rather have new ones since the factory ones have been there since 1995.
You have to take some plate to a machine shop and get them to cut you a whole the same as the hole on the stock a-arm so you can press the ball joint into it. It will look the same way as the stock one
hey thanks for the pic. and info. but I didnt know you could get ball joints for the foreman. in my manual i have I was looking on how to replace the balljoint and said that I have to get a new upper A-arm. now the book is older so maybe thats why.
It has a retaining ring on the top that you have to have to take off and then you can beat out the ones you already have. I used a big socket and put it in a vise, you might have to add a little heat but i didn't have any problems with mine.
oh ok. yea I saw the retaining ring and I figured there was some way to replace them but my manual said to get a new a-arm. so can you just go to the honda dealer and buy new balljoints?
oh ok thanks for all the info man. Im getting pretty excited about this lift. I was checking out the first arm I made today. and this thing is going to be huge compared to all my friends bikes. im going to have to get bigger tires. I have 28 mudzillas but I think i want to get 29.5x12s all the way around.
might as well go with 31s i used to think they were monsters until i put them on my bike now they look small cause there is so much space between the fender well. Then you realize there big when you pull up next to some 27s.
